Studio Membership Pricing

 

30 minute lessons for $147.00 per month 

45 minute lessons for $220.00 per month

60 minute lessons for $292.00 per month

 

Studio Membership is a flat rate paid as a monthly tuition through the online subscription platform Fons. Payments begin either on the 1st of September (or on the student’s 1st lesson if joining after September) and continue monthly through May (9 total months). 

 

Continued payment of tuition ensures the student’s membership in the studio. There are no tuition adjustments or refunds for missed lessons or seasonal lessons. Occasional absences by the student and teacher have already been considered in the total cost.

Payments

Payments are deducted on the first of every month via auto-pay via Fons.

If a payment processing problem is not resolved in 7 days of the due date, a $35 charge will be added.

Annual Registration Fee

A $50 yearly fee will be processed upon your initial registration and every August 1st of the following year. This fee shows your commitment to reserve a time on my schedule. This fee helps to cover membership services including recitals, lesson materials and printing, open studio days, and string change days.

Teaching Terms

Marnie Ward Voice & ‘Ukulele Studio has 2 terms each year:

Fall/Winter/Spring Season: September - May

Summer Season: June-August

 

Tuition Model for Fall/Winter/Spring Season: Some months a student may have 5 lessons (for example, every couple months there are 5 Thursdays). There also may be months where a student has 2-3 lessons due to a student/teacher cancellation or a holiday. This flexible model keeps the monthly payment even, allows students and teachers to take off without financial penalty to the student, and avoids the messy task of make-up lessons. That’s right, make up lessons are NOT necessary.

 

Summer lessons are flexible with day/time scheduling where each student can book at their leisure on Fons, the online scheduler. Typically (depending on Marnie’s schedule), Marnie offers a package of 5 lessons over the summer months. Summer lesson schedule will be released in the late spring. Summer students get priority in fall scheduling.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a lesson, please give me 24 hours notice.

 

Illness

In the case of illness, let me know asap via text or email. PLEASE DO NOT COME IN PERSON IF YOU ARE SICK. If you're sick but still up for a lesson, we can do a virtual lesson over zoom.  If you're not up to a virtual lesson, rest up and Marnie will create a recorded lesson for you to do at a later time.

Inclement Weather

For in-person students, these lesson days will be done virtually. I will notify you via email the day of the lesson.

​

Schedule & Holidays

We are closed on the following major holidays: Labor Day, Memorial Day, the week of Thanksgiving, the 2 weeks around Christmas/New Year’s, and Denver Public Schools Spring Break. For Monday students, we will collectively decide scheduling on the following Monday holidays: 1) Oct: Indigenous People’s Day; 2) Jan: Martin Luther King Day; 3) Feb: President’s Day.

In-Person Lessons

In-person lessons take place at my home studio located in NE Denver near St. Joseph’s Hospital. (address given to students/families after commitment for privacy reasons)

Virtual Lessons

Virtual lessons are available for all students over Zoom. 

Marnie reserves the right to move in-person private lessons and group classes online at anytime. 

​

Attendance

Students are expected to attend lessons regularly. Please give Marnie at least 24-hours notice if you need to miss a lesson. Students who are unable to attend a lesson in-person may opt for a virtual lesson - just send Marnie a text so she knows where to meet you! (this could be for any reason - bad traffic, inclement weather, no time to make the drive, you want to lay on the couch for your lesson, etc)​​

Lesson Termination

With 30 days notice, you can cancel anytime. Payments for lessons will be canceled exactly one month from the date notice is given. During those 30 days, you are welcome to take those lessons but If you do not attend lessons during this time, your lesson fee will not be refunded. Students who choose to take a break for summer or for any other reason will lose their spot and will be added to the waiting list.

Communication

Email: most studio communication is done via email, so please use an email you check regularly. Items sent via email include: studio reminders, lesson reminders, lesson notes, and more.

Text: use texting to notify Marnie if you are running late for your lesson or are ill and need to cancel that day

Also please let Marnie know what form of communication you prefer to use so she can reach out to you in that way.

 

 

Release of Liability

By paying the annual registration feel and/or agreeing to participate in private or group lessons, I hereby release Marnie Ward Voice & Ukulele Studio (MWS), it’s members, agents, volunteers and Marnie Ward of all liability, I understand that I am absolving and releasing others from liability from their own negligent acts, even if I am not at fault in any way. In consideration of my/my child’s participation in lessons, classes or other activities at or associated with MWS, I agree to assume full responsibility for them, their heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and relate and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages which they may have or which occur to them, for all damages which may be sustained and suffered by them in connection with their association with or entry into studio activities or which may arise out of their participation in these activities. I expressly assume all of the risks inherent in these activities.

 

Photo Release

Marnie Ward Voice & Ukulele Studio has my permission to use my or my child’s photograph publicly to promote the studio. I understand that the images may be used in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

Policy Agreement 

I have read the Marnie Ward Voice & Ukulele Studio Lesson Policies and guidelines and agree to all terms and conditions, including lesson scheduling and attendance.

​

Tuition Agreement 

I have read the Marnie Ward Voice & Ukulele Studio subscription, payment, cancellation, and termination information and agree to remit total tuition due even if I withdraw from lessons before the conclusion of the indicated time period.

Marnie Ward Voice & 'Ukulele Studio reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time and without prior notice. Any updated versions will be provided to all current students. Your continued use of this studio following any such changes constitutes your agreement with all posted policy updates, and you will be subject to the associated revised terms. You may access the most current Studio Policies at any time on my website/facebook/your My Music Staff account or by request. (Studio Policies v. 8.2024)
